We all strive to have a purpose and to make an impact. When a new leader takes over an organization, they may want to introduce a new initiative or transformation. When a new employee joins a team, they may share some ideas on how to change things up.
Sometimes, these changes are great. Other times, it’s just change for the sake of change. Keep this in mind the next time you hear about a new re-org or re-branding announcement… people are often trying their best to be known for something and show that they’ve been able to achieve something!
Note: I am simply sharing my learnings from having 300+ coffee chats all the way up to the C-Suite level. From here, you're empowered to do your own research and make your own decisions!
Here some tangible steps for those of you who are itching to make a change in your careers, but don’t know the best way to get started. These tips are based on my personal experiences and the advice of my role models, mentors, and sponsors.
Read some career insights and advice from Alysa Taylor, CVP of Azure & Industry Marketing at Microsoft around navigating timing vs. timelines, career conversations, work-life balance, and self-reflection. This will be helpful regardless of if you’re early-in-career or later-in-career.

I continue to re-share job hunting tips and job opportunities from hiring managers and recruiters on the daily. There are lots of opportunities out there, so I hope you can find your next one through my LinkedIn Career Community which has 4.5K+ followers!
Fun Fact: I have 500+ outstanding invitations on LinkedIn because I make an effort to only accept the ones from people I know or those who make an effort to personalize their connection request. This helps me maintain a quality vs. quantity network!
